REACH – April 9th

REACH has been going great the last few weeks with awesome new crafts, new volunteers, and fantastic performances!  This last Saturday, April 9th, we had an incredible performance by the Crimson Dance Team.  We are so thankful to have witnessed such a fun performance, only to be followed by some fun art-making!  We are looking forward to REACH tomorrow, which will be held outside.

The Harvard Lowkeys Performance!

On Saturday, March 5^th, we were treated to an amazing performance by The Harvard Lowkeys, a Harvard acapella group. Everyone enjoyed listening to their songs, and even joined in on a couple.

New Gym Toys

For the new semester, we got some more gym toys, which are a huge hit with everyone. The parachute is a lot of fun, and a great way to let out some energy indoors with the cold weather outside.  We also had a great art activity, making macaroni necklaces and bracelets.

Welcome to the 2016 REACH Year!

On February 2, 2016, we started our 2016 Spring REACH Program, with new volunteers, a new board, and exited kids. The session started out great with a performance from 2 members of MINUET, a Harvard music group. Then, in art, we made puppets out of paper bags and the kids let their creativity shine. This new semester, the board consists of Delfina Martinez-Pandiani as Director, Jayne Pilachowski as Vice-Director with Recreation Focus, and Caroline Gutierrez as Vice-Director with Art Focus.  We are off to a great start, and cannot wait for the rest of the semester!

A Fun Day Dancing!

Here are some pictures from a marvelous performance by the Harvard Bhangra Team today- we all even learned a few dance moves afterwards!

It’s spring!

Happy spring to everyone! We had a fun time playing in the gym and a lovely instrumental performance by Harvard MIHNUET yesterday at REACH. 

 

 

Arts & Crafts: Flowers

After a wonderful performance by the Harvard Opportunes a cappella group, we had a colorful art experience making some spring-time flowers!

 

 

Reminder: we won’t have REACH again until March 28th, because our undergrad volunteers will be on spring break. We’ll miss everyone and we can’t wait to see you all again!

A Snowy Saturday

Today we were treated to a belly dancing performance by our own REACHer Cece. Cece even brought extra belly dancing costumes for us to try on!

 

 

Then, we made some snowmen in art to celebrate this snowy day.
